Chiefs’ Rashee Rice is under investigation for assault in a nightclub

Just days after turning himself in to authorities over a car accident, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is again under investigation, this time for assaulting a photographer at a nightclub in Dallas, Texas.

Rice, a 23-year-old wide receiver, faces his legal issue in 2024. On April 10, the Dallas Police Department issued an arrest warrant for the player on eight serious charges: six counts of collision causing serious bodily harm, one count of aggravated assault and one count of collision causing serious bodily harm.

However, it is not yet known how much of a sanction the Kansas City wide receiver will receive, according to the league commissioner Roger Goodell insists the NFL will carefully consider appropriate punishment once the investigation is complete.

“We are closely monitoring the process and are ready to make a decision once it is complete in accordance with our personnel conduct policy,” emphasized Goodell.
