A man who filmed himself attacking a homeless woman was found guilty of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.

Liam Stimpson, 24, from Llanrumney in Cardiff, is also charged with two counts of rape and one count of inducing a person to engage in sexual acts without their consent in Cardiff on December 27.

He denied all the charges and told the jury that the sex between them was consensual. The jury was sent home for the night and will continue deliberating on the remaining charges on Thursday.

During the trial at Cardiff Crown Court, the jury heard he had filmed himself abusing the 40-year-old on his mobile phone. Mr Stimpson said the woman suggested the filming as part of a role play after he paid her for oral sex.
