Atlanta residents and businesses are experiencing low water pressure or outages after a water main broke today.

A 32-inch water main break near the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard. NW and James P. Brawley Drive have created water problems throughout the city.

Crews are on scene and “working aggressively” to repair the water main affecting the service area, according to the Department of Watershed Management.

There were reports of a lack of water at the State Capitol, Atlanta City Hall and disruptions at Grady Hospital.

Several restaurants closed due to the water main break, including Manuel’s Tavern in Poncey-Highland and The Wrecking Bar in Little Five Points.

The Georgia Aquarium also announced on social media that it was closing its doors for the day due to the break.

Low water pressure was observed in Midtown at a number of condominium and apartment complexes.
