Laredo police are still searching for suspects after ammunition theft

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – Laredo Police are increasing their efforts to locate suspects allegedly involved in a chase following the reported theft of ammunition from a local store.

On Monday, May 6, at approximately 7 p.m., a state trooper assisted the Laredo Police Department in tracking suspects connected to the theft at the academy on San Bernardo Avenue.

The suspects’ black SUV was spotted southbound on Loop 20 near City Annex. When the officer tried to stop them, they didn’t stop, so the chase continued. It continued like this until the suspects finally stopped near Cuatro Vientos Drive and Los Presidentes Avenue. Three men jumped out of the SUV and ran into the bushes.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), one of them was seen carrying a long rifle but threw it away while running.
