Woman dies in pedestrian accident on 11th Street in Tracy

TRACY, CA (May 29, 2024) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on 11th Street near Cabe Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver traveling along 11th Street struck a pedestrian walking on the shoulder west of Cabe Road.

The woman, who had allegedly driven into the car’s path, was then thrown onto the south side of the road. Paramedics arrived shortly afterwards, but the woman succumbed to her serious injuries.

After the accident, the 70-year-old Newman resident remained on site and cooperated with the investigation.
