1 dead and one injured in accident on busy road in Huntersville, reports MEDIC – WSOC TV

At the scene of the accident, Chopper 9 Skyzoom could see a pickup truck and a sedan, both with severe front-end damage. They had apparently collided head-on.

MEDIC said one person died in the accident and another person was taken to a Charlotte hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Sam Furr Road was closed in both directions while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.
