Jeremy Renner recounted his return to Hollywood after his near-fatal snowplow accident.

The 53 year old Hawkeye The actor suffered serious injuries after being run over by a snowplow in a tragic accident on New Year’s Day 2023.

Like a miracle, Jeremy recovered and returned to the set of his hit show Mayor of Kingstown just over a year after the accident. The third season of the series premieres on June 2nd.

In a new interview, he spoke about the extent of his injuries and his recovery. He also made a shocking revelation about his return to work and how he handled it.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Jeremy made it clear that his injury was still on his mind.

“I relive it every night. It’s in my visions. It’s in my dreams and my waking thoughts,” he admitted.

Jeremy The injury left him breaking 38 bones, and he said it cost “a lot of money” to pay for some of the medical procedures he had to undergo despite having health insurance.

“But why do I care,” he said about the large bills. “I’m alive. I go through life with a smile on my face. And nothing will ever change that. Nothing. It’s impossible for me to have a bad day.”

The actor even showed a sense of humor and joked about a particular bone he broke: “The doctor said I even broke my taint. How do you break a flaw?”

About the accident, Jeremy said he did not immediately realize the extent of his injuries. When reality set in, he remembered thinking he was going to die during treatment.

He thanked his family for giving him the strength to recover so quickly and get back to work.

Jeremy was back Mayor of Kingstown “on the anniversary of my death.”

His return was an incredible challenge for him and he said he initially took on more than he could handle.

“They say, ‘And action!’ And I was outside (sleeping),” he recalls. “We realized that they were working me too hard, too many hours, too many days in a row. I’m willing to do anything, but what I can do is something else.”

To manage things, Jeremy joked that he was treated “like I was a child actor.” He remained in Pittsburgh during filming rather than flying home to California during his free time and getting fit in time to continue his rehabilitation.

His hard work paid off and the third season of the show premiered in just a few weeks. Check out the first trailer!
