Ranking the 5 best running backs the Buffalo Bills will face in 2024

When you look at the Buffalo Bills’ opponents in 2024, there are some very talented running backs who will need to stop, which is never easy. Last season, the Bills were middle of the pack in stopping the run. In five of their first six games, they allowed over 100 yards rushing, including two games of over 170 yards. This offseason, the Bills managed to re-sign DaQuan Jones and they signed DeWayne Carter to help in the middle of the trenches with Ed Oliver.

The Bills will face five specific running backs who are near the top of the league and can take control of a game. Four out of five of these running backs ran for over 1,000 yards last season and will look to repeat their performance next season.

Being the only running back on this list who didn’t have to rush for 1,000 yards rushing last season, Jonathan Taylor is still a physical runner who finished the regular season with a 188-yard rushing performance. After contract disputes and an injury last season, Taylor is now the Colts’ future starter. The last time the Colts faced the Bills, Taylor put on a great show against Buffalo’s defense. He ran the ball 32 times for 185 yards and four rushing touchdowns. He would also add a receiving touchdown.

The Bills will need to make sure Taylor doesn’t put up another one of those performances when they face the Colts.
