Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry were in a “horrible” car accident

Country singer Zach Bryan and his girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia were injured in a “horrible” car accident but are “totally fine.”

According to podcast host LaPaglia — known as Brianna Chickenfry on TikTok and YouTube — the couple was in a “traumatizing side-by-side car accident” during the “Something in the Orange” singer’s Quittin’ Time tour.

The “PlanBri Uncut” and “BFFs” host didn’t go into specifics, but said in a TikTok video posted Tuesday that the car “rolled over a few times,” “everything shattered,” and there was “a lot of blood.” and she and Bryan “thought we were saying goodbye to each other.” She noted that they were wearing seatbelts during the incident and that ambulances were on duty. LaPaglia said she had broken glass in her body and Bryan suffered a “huge cut” and was thankful the injury did not involve an artery.

But the two didn’t dwell on the scary experience for long. LaPaglia said it was “wiped away” so they could head to Bryan’s next tour stop in Arkansas, where the singer spent two nights at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock on Monday and Tuesday. However, he was further injured when LaPaglia’s cat escaped from the tour bus into the woods and Bryan burst his stitches chasing it.

A representative for Bryan told the Times on Thursday: “There is nothing more to report!”

After receiving tons of support from her followers, LaPaglia responded to a comment saying, “We are absolutely fine!!! Just terrible at the moment!!! I love you ❤️❤️❤️”

The “Barstool Sports” podcast host said that they barely slept and that she started recording her podcasts early and that she was struggling to be “perky and happy” because of what happened.

“I was so mentally out of control,” she said. “My whole body hurts and I keep finding more and more bruises and scratches.”

The content creator, who has been dating Bryan since last summer, lamented the touring life, noting that she recently spent four months on the road with Bryan and the last stint so far lasted two months. In a subsequent TikTok, she said that she would now urge people to wear seatbelts.

“I’ll be the stupid helicopter friend who says, ‘Buckle up or the car won’t move,'” she said. “If you get one thing from me… that I’ve ever posted in my entire social media career in the last five years is that you should buckle up. If we weren’t wearing seatbelts we would literally be decapitated, have our necks broken or die.”

Bryan – the raw and down-to-earth singer-songwriter who self-produced his albums – has caused a stir in the Nashville recording industry by building a massive audience without relying on the help of country radio. When the musician began his latest tour in March, he fondly recognized LaPaglia on Instagram days after the incident.

“This lady holds up the weight of everyone around her day in and day out,” he wrote in an Instagram Story alongside a photo of LaPaglia. “During those months of touring to my degenerate ass producing an album. You’re my muse, Brianna, and I don’t understand how the hell you can keep it together when the people around you can’t. Thank you forever and ever, no matter what.”

The “I Remember Everything” singer also shared a screenshot of her text messages, writing, “She sends these to me day after day. No matter how tired I am, no matter how she feels. She is the most loving and supportive woman on the planet.”

The Oklahoma singer is back in his home state ahead of Friday and Saturday concerts in Oklahoma City. From there he will head to Oakland on May 31st, where he will perform at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. He is then scheduled to play three nights, June 2-4, at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.
