Popular Kannada television actor Pavitra Jayaram dies in a car accident

Popular Kannada and Telugu television actress Pavitra Jayaram, best known for her role in Trinayani, died in a fatal traffic accident on Sunday.

At the time of the incident, Pavitra was reportedly traveling with her sister Apeksha, husband Chandrakant and driver Srikant.

Others were seriously injured in the accident, which reportedly occurred near Mehboob Nagar in Hyderabad.

They were on their way to Hanakere in Mandya district of Karnataka when the incident occurred.

First, Pavitra’s car lost control and crashed into a divider. Later, an RTC bus rammed the right side of the car, killing Pavitra on the spot while others sustained serious injuries, IANS reported.

The tragic incident sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry.

Actress Sameeip Acharyaa expressed his condolences to her family and wrote, “I woke up to the news that you are no more. It’s incredible. My first on-screen mother, you will always be the special one.”

Pavitra gained popularity through multiple roles in several Kannada serials as well as shows in other languages. Her most famous works include: Tillottama, Trinayani And Bucchi Naidu Kandriga.

Her followers mourned her sudden death and expressed their grief.

“Rest in peace my lady,” read one post in the comments section.

Another added: “RIP mom one of the beautiful actresses made us so sad.”

In Trinayani, Pavitra shared screen space with popular names like Aashika Gopal Padukone, Chandu Gowda, Sri Satya, Priyanka Chowdary, Vishnu Priya, Bhavana Reddy, Anil Chowdary and Challa Chandu among others.

According to reports, Pavitra was born and brought up in Karnataka and had a keen interest in acting since childhood. She pursued her passion and marked her debut with Robo family.

Her untimely demise has left a void in the Kannada TV industry and among her admirers.
