Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, renamed Neranenah, begins Thursday

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Neranenah, formerly known as the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, kicks off Thursday evening to usher in a winter season of stunning musical performances rooted in Jewish culture.

Through April, a variety of Grammy-nominated artists, jazz icons and regional artists will take to stages from Sandy Springs to Midtown Atlanta for a months-long concert series.

After a hiatus in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, what was formerly the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, the music and cultural series was rebranded under the Hebrew musical name Neranenah, meaning “to come together and sing” and returns to in-person shows.

The festival begins Thursday, December 16 at the Byers Theater at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, where the majority of events will take place.
