Man arrested for murder of wife in western Iowa | Crime and courts

ONAWA, Iowa – A western Iowa man has been arrested for killing his wife.

According to the Monona County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came in about a shooting in the 1900 block of Granite Street in Onawa around 5:42 p.m. Friday.

Officers went to the scene and found a dead woman, later identified as Stacey Allen, 47, of Onawa. Jamie Allen, 48, of Onawa, was taken into custody on a charge of first-degree murder.

Jamie Allen was booked into the Monona County Jail. The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation is assisting in this case.
