Search continues for 9-year-old Geon King, last seen in Durham

DURHAM, Durham County – An AMBER Alert was issued on Thursday, July 26, 2024 for a 9-year-old boy in Durham.

Durham Police reported that Geon King was last seen wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants. He is a black child, approximately 4’6″ tall, with brown hair, brown eyes and weighs 100 pounds.

Authorities mentioned that Geon was last seen in the company of his biological mother, 33-year-old Mariah King, a black female who is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Mariah King was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a black crop top, with her hair styled in a bun.

Both Mariah and Geon left an apartment in the 200 block of South Benjamine Street on foot around 6 p.m.
