A 16-year-old British girl is raped in a bar in Crete after leaving her parents to go to the toilet

Earlier this week, a British teenage tourist was reportedly raped in the toilets of a bar in Crete, just meters from her unsuspecting parents.

The heinous attack happened on Wednesday evening after the 16-year-old holidaymaker spent an evening with her parents at a bar in tourist hotspot Malia.

The young victim excused herself to go to the bathroom, where she was allegedly attacked by an attacker who followed her into the bathroom.

The attacker fled the scene, but Malian police established his identity by viewing CCTV footage from the bar after the horrified victim reported the ordeal later that night, Greek magazine Protothema reports.

Police are now looking for the 28-year-old Pakistani who they believe carried out the attack.
