Attleboro man dies after jet ski accident in Rutland Pond

RUTLAND, Mass. (WLNE) – An Attleboro man died when his jet ski overturned in a pond in Rutland.

According to police, rescue crews were dispatched to Turkey Hill Pond around 4:30 p.m. because a jet ski had overturned in the water.

According to witnesses, the driver of the jet ski appeared to be in distress before going underwater.

A dive team, several local fire departments and the Massachusetts State Police found the man in his 40s several hours later.

His identity has not been released pending notification of his family’s death.

The exact cause of death is currently being investigated.
