Missing man found in Lakeville pond, pronounced dead in hospital

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) – A missing man was pronounced dead after being recovered from Long Pond in Lakeville Saturday evening.

Lakeville police said a man in his 60s died after disappearing near the Pond-A-Palooza event at the Eagles Club on County Street.

Police and firefighters responded to a missing person report on Saturday afternoon and found the man in the pond at 5:43 p.m.

The man was administered life-saving measures and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to authorities.

According to officials, the death is currently under investigation.
