Police search for two suspects after man shot in Richmond

RICHMOND, Virginia – Police are searching for two suspects after a man was shot multiple times in Richmond late Friday night.

Richmond Police were called to the 1000 block of E Main Street shortly after 11:50 p.m. for a reported shooting.

“When they arrived on the scene, officers encountered a victim who had suffered numerous gunshot wounds,” police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Two suspects fled the scene, but it was unclear in which direction they went, officials said.

Police have not released a description of these suspects.

“The serious crimes unit is investigating,” police said.
