Updated Druva data protection platform strengthens incident response

SiliconAngle reports that California-based Druva has updated its data protection software-as-a-service platform to enable improved incident response with a new Threat Hunting feature that can detect indicators of compromise in backups managed by the platform, which already comes with ransomware prevention capabilities.

With the introduction of this functionality, Druva has also expanded its free Managed Data Detection and Response service to customers around the world.

In addition to enabling the collection of cybersecurity data through the implementation of its platform, Druva also touted that Managed Data Detection and Response would analyze such information and perform automatic locking of backup files if it detects a possible breach.

Such a service could also enable the restoration of an earlier version of a backup in the event of a compromise.

“With today’s more advanced and persistent threats, we need to go beyond perimeter-based security. To address these risks, cybersecurity must be complemented by the power of data,” said Jaspreet Singh, co-founder and CEO of Druva.
