Milwaukee police arrested an armed man wearing a ski mask just outside the Republican National Convention security zone on Monday. Authorities said the 21-year-old was carrying a concealed weapon and a large tactical backpack near 11th Street and Juneau Avenue around 1 p.m. The man did not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, according to police. The RNC in Milwaukee is Monday through Thursday at the Fiserv Forum.

Milwaukee police arrested an armed man wearing a ski mask just outside the Republican National Convention security zone on Monday.

Authorities said the 21-year-old was carrying a concealed weapon and a large tactical backpack near 11th Street and Juneau Avenue around 1 p.m.
