Several severe thunderstorms have been reported in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

ATLANTA — Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings were issued across the Atlanta metro area Monday afternoon.

In general, there is an increased risk of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area. Some thunderstorms could produce heavy rain and lightning. You can watch the live radar below:

5:48 p.m. | The Lawrenceville Police Department said several traffic signals are out of service due to downed power lines in the area of ​​Constitution Boulevard and Planview Drive. Additionally, traffic signals at several nearby intersections have been affected. Police said they have to treat those intersections as a four-way stop sign. Officers and engineers are on the way, the police department said.

4:55 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning was issued from 4:54 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. for DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.

4:42 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning was issued from 4:41 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for Heard County.
