Passerby shot in police raid returns to Fargo for one-year anniversary | The Mighty 790 KFGO

FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – The innocent bystander who was shot during a police ambush last July is returning to Fargo to thank the people who helped her recover.

Karlee Koswick moved from Fargo and was unemployed for nearly a year while she recovered from injuries she sustained in the July 14, 2023, shooting that killed Officer Jake Wallin and injured two other officers.

The suspect was shot by Officer Zach Robinson.

Koswick started a GoFundMe campaign to fund the return trip and attend an anniversary ceremony at Fargo City Hall on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Her goal was $1,800 and she has now raised over $3,100.

The fundraiser can be found here.
