The City of Oil City is currently seeking applicants for the full-time position of Police Officer. Civil Service Aptitude Test. Minimum requirements are: high school diploma or GED, 21 years of age, Act 120 certification, and valid PA driver’s license. Applicant must successfully pass written and oral examinations, as well as physical agility, medical and psychological exams, and background investigations.

The applicant must pay a fee of $50.00 upon application.

Applications are available at the City Manager’s office, the Oil City Police Department, or on the City’s website at www.oilcity.org. Completed applications, all required supporting documents (see below), and a $50.00 application fee will be accepted as soon as possible at the City Manager’s office, 21 Seneca Street, Third Floor, Oil City, PA 16301. Checks should be made payable to the City of Oil City. Cash and money orders are also accepted.

The date, time and location of the written and physical examination will be communicated to the applicants by email.
