School principal allegedly raped 10-year-old in Karachi

A case was registered at Mochko police station on the complaint of the victim’s father, police officials said. The father stated in the first report (FIR) that three of his daughters were taking tuition classes with the headmaster. “The headmaster called on June 21 and asked to send our daughters, saying that he wanted to give them Eidi. However, when I refused, the headmaster insisted, after which I sent my daughters,” the FIR said. After the incident, the girl was also examined by a doctor. Police said they were awaiting the report. The victim’s parents and residents of the area protested on Hub River Road against the non-arrest of the suspect. Traffic was disrupted due to the protest. In a similar incident last month, the headmaster of a private school was arrested for torturing and harassing a student. He was accused of attempting to rape a Grade 10 student at a school near Orangi Town. The school principal had been sending her obscene messages and harassing the victim for several days. During the incident, he allegedly pointed the CCTV camera at the ceiling and forced the student to commit adultery. He threatened to fail her final exams and ruin her future if she did not cooperate.
