Philadelphia Police: Woman hit and killed after pedestrian accident in Wissinoming

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in the Wissinoming neighborhood.

It happened around 1:25 a.m. Saturday in the 5900 block of Frankford Avenue.

According to police, a white Dodge Durango was traveling south on Frankford Avenue when it struck a pedestrian. She was forced into the northbound lane, where she was struck again by a passing SEPTA bus.

Unfortunately, the woman’s death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

Both drivers remained on site and are cooperating with the police.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Accident Investigation Division.
