According to police, motorcyclist loses control and is thrown from the motorcycle – seriously injured

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police say a motorcyclist is in critical condition in the hospital following a crash on the city’s north side early Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 2:45 a.m. in the 500 block of East Mistletoe Avenue, near Highway 281 and McCullough Avenue.

According to police, a 22-year-old motorcyclist was traveling east on Mistletoe Avenue when she lost control of her vehicle and was thrown from the motorcycle.

According to police, the woman was not wearing a helmet and suffered life-threatening injuries. She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she was in critical condition at last check-up.

According to SAPD, the woman was not intoxicated and no charges are expected to be filed. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The police did not say exactly why the motorcyclist lost control.
