Wellness check leads to discovery of body in Montrose apartment

HOUSTON (KIAH) – On July 3, Houston police and firefighters responded to a welfare check for a missing adult male at an apartment located at Colquitt and McDuffie.

Officers arrived around 7:30 p.m. after friends of the resident contacted police saying they had not seen him for some time.

After forcing entry into the apartment, officers discovered the man dead in his apartment from multiple stab wounds. Detectives are investigating the death and are looking for possible camera footage in the area. There are no suspects or motives at this time.
