Police are investigating the Milwaukee Bucks guard after a controversial incident in Game 6

The Milwaukee Bucks have plenty of reasons to be frustrated with how their season ended. They could have won the series if Giannis Antetokounmpo had been willing to play against the Indiana Pacers. However, their early exit has also highlighted problem areas within their squad that need to be addressed.

One of the wildest suggestions to solve this dilemma is to release Damian Lillard in exchange for assets, but that won’t completely solve all of the problems the Bucks have on their roster. Additionally, they still haven’t seen how Dame would work with Giannis in the postseason.

As the team looks for ways to improve its roster, one of its players could become embroiled in litigation as police intervene in an incident near the end of the team’s Game 6 loss to the Pacers.

Patrick Beverley is under investigation for an incident with a Pacers fan during the Milwaukee Bucks’ elimination game

Fans who watched Game 6 between the Bucks and Pacers will remember the crazy moment with Beverley and a fan sitting behind the Bucks’ bench.

The game was lost at that point and everyone on the Milwaukee squad was understandably nervous. Beverley, who is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, got into a heated situation with a fan when the fan threw the ball in his direction.

Local police reported that they would investigate the incident involving Beverley and the fan, as the Associated Press reported:

Police said in a news release that the case had been referred to detectives “who are currently investigating the situation and are taking all allegations seriously.”

Detectives will present the case to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office after the investigation is complete, the release said.

The cameras showed Beverley sitting on the bench and throwing a ball into the stands, hitting a fan in the head about two and a half minutes before the end of the game on May 2. Afterwards, another fan threw the ball back to Beverley, who was holding it by the arm. When the Bucks guard went for it, he fired back at the spectator.

Beverley might be frustrated since he didn’t have a particularly bad postseason. As one of the team’s starting guards, he finished with 8.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. If Giannis had been present, Beverley would undoubtedly have played better.

However, it looks bad for him to take out his frustration on a fan who was just there to watch the Pacers play. He can only hope that the incident is resolved peacefully.
