One person died in a three-vehicle crash on the 215 Freeway at the 210 Freeway

The accident occurred on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at approximately 1:23 p.m. on the southbound I-215 freeway directly under Freeway 210. According to the California Highway Patrol, a box truck and a white Nissan Frontier pickup truck and an unknown Vehicle. The CHP traffic log indicates that both vehicles collided with the box truck at highway speeds for unknown reasons.

CHP officers and firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. The traffic log showed that the driver of the white truck was unresponsive and the passenger was barely breathing; both were trapped in the rubble.

Firefighters rendered aid to the injured man. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
