UEFA has adjusted its suspension rules ahead of the latest European Championship, which begins on June 14.

Here are all the yellow and red card rules for the knockout phase of the 2024 European Championship explained:

Yellow card: If a player receives two yellow cards at Euro 2024, he will be suspended for one match. Likewise, if he receives four yellow cards, the player will be suspended for a second time.

(P.S.: All yellow cards will be reset and previous cautions will be deleted at the end of the quarter-final round, so no player will go into the semi-finals at risk of receiving a yellow card. )

Red card: If a player receives a red card at the 2024 European Championship, he will be excluded from the game and will automatically be suspended for the next match.

CAN A PLAYER MISS THE EURO 2024 FINAL?

• A yellow card in the quarter-finals is cancelled if a team qualifies, but a red card will result in the player being banned from the final if a suspension of two or more matches is imposed.

• If a player receives a red card in the semi-final, he misses the final.
