One man died after crash in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Virginia – A man died in a car crash Friday, the Portsmouth Police Department (PPD) said.

Portsmouth Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Effingham Avenue at approximately 4:41 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

PPD is still investigating. Further details will be released as they become available.
