Person shot in northwest Indianapolis; IMPD investigates

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating a shooting in northwest Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 6600 block of Covered Bridge Trace for a report of a person being shot. When police arrived at the scene, they found a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

IMPD reported that the victim is currently awake and breathing. Police public reporting systems indicate that police were first called to the area around 11:32 p.m.
