18-year-old killed in Rockledge after allegedly ‘accidental’ shooting

Rockledge police are investigating a shooting that left a young woman dead Wednesday night. According to police, 18-year-old Carli Bell was shot at around 6 p.m. at the Ascend Space Coast Apartments on DeQuattro Drive, just north of Interstate 95. The victim died en route to the hospital. Police say the woman’s 20-year-old boyfriend told them the shooting was accidental, and officers say they are investigating the incident as such. This is a developing story.
