The mother of Scottish WWE superstar Alba Fyre died in a horrific accident while on vacation in Florida while visiting her daughter.

Bridgeen Mitchell, 51, was hit by a car while crossing the street in Orlando last month and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mitchell was on a family holiday to visit her daughter Kayleigh Rae – known professionally as Alba Fyre – and was crossing the road with her partner when the incident occurred.

As the Daily Record reported, local police said the driver cooperated at the scene of the accident and no charges were expected.

Alba Fyre, 31, posted a moving eulogy on social media: “On Friday, my mother and father were hit by a car while crossing the street. Unfortunately, my mother did not make it.”

“Words cannot describe how devastated we all are. She was the most caring, fun-loving person, the life of every party and the biggest little legend we all knew. She was very loved and will be greatly missed.

“We know everyone will feel this loss and while our family would appreciate some privacy during this time, we want people to remember my mother and all the love she brought to everyone.”

Her father Ronnie Higgins said: “I cannot accept what has happened to us.”

“I have difficulties, but together we are strong people and my goal in life now is to continue to be strong for the rest of our family, just as Bridgeen would have done.”

“My world was torn apart.”

Friends of the family have launched a fundraiser to repatriate Bridgeen Mitchell’s body to Scotland and have so far raised over £3,200.

Alba Fyre is currently preparing for Saturday’s Clash at the Castle event in Scotland, an emotional homecoming that will see her team up with Isla Dawn to form The Unholy Union for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
