Three people arrested after car theft in Hill District

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Three people are in custody following a carjacking in the Hill District that occurred Saturday night.

According to Pittsburgh police, they were called to Crawford Street and Center Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. for a car theft.

The driver was uninjured but told police that the three suspects were armed, took the car and fled.

Less than half an hour later, the car was found on E. Carson Street between 23rd and 24th Streets and three men were arrested.

Police also said they were working to obtain a search warrant because several firearms were discovered in the vehicle.
