4 people arrested after police chase in Maryland, Virginia, DC

Police began the pursuit after attempting a traffic stop in Prince George’s County.

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – A police chase that started in Maryland and extended into Virginia ended Tuesday night in D.C. with four people arrested.

Accordingly Prince George’s County PoliceShortly before 7:30 p.m., officers discovered a stolen vehicle in the Oxon Hill area. When police attempted to stop the white Nissan Altima, the driver refused to stop.

Police pursued the stolen car as the driver entered Virginia and eventually the county. Police did not release details of the pursuit itself. However, a department spokesman said the accident ended when the vehicle came to a stop in Washington, DC

Surveillance video shared with WUSA9 by X user @Abeale202 shows the chase through Congress Heights just before it all ended.

Four people were arrested after the pursuit. Police have not identified these people or said what charges they might face.
