At least 4 dead, including 1 in metro Atlanta, in central Georgia crash – WSB-TV Channel 2

TIFT COUNTY, Ga. — At least four people, including at least one from Atlanta, were killed in a crash on I-75 in Tift County Tuesday evening, according to WALB.

Georgia State Patrol troopers said they responded to a crash near mile marker 69 around 6:40 p.m.

Investigators determined that a car was traveling in the center lane of the highway and a tractor-trailer was parked on the right shoulder. The driver made a turn and struck the rear of the tractor-trailer.

According to GSP, the driver and at least two passengers died instantly. A passenger was also taken to hospital and later died.

One person in the car was identified as Serigne Mbodji, 22, of Atlanta. The other passengers have not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
