Dry and hot start to the week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The start of the week will be dry and hot, but the dry weather will not last long

Monday will start with temperatures around 15 degrees, but it will warm up quickly. Highs will be between 27 and 30 degrees and it will feel muggy. A mix of sun and clouds is expected in the afternoon, with only a slight chance of isolated showers.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be the wettest days of the week, with rain and thunderstorms on each of those days. These showers and thunderstorms will break out ahead of a cold front. Currently, the risk of severe weather looks very low. Highs will be above 27 degrees on both days.

A cold front will move through the area late Thursday. Ahead of this front it will be very warm with highs between 30 and 35 degrees. A shower cannot be ruled out, but most of the rain will form east of our area.

Drier weather is expected over the CMA Fest weekend. Temperatures are expected to be between 27 and 30 degrees on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each day will be partly to mostly sunny. The greatest chance for isolated showers will be on Saturday and Sunday.
