2 men killed in shooting at Exposition Park – NBC Los Angeles

Two men were killed in a shooting at Exposition Park in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.

The shooting was reported around 2 p.m. near Browning Boulevard and Budlong Avenue. The victims were in a vehicle when they were shot by someone in an older-model white Toyota sedan who left the scene, police told City News Service.

Captain Michael Lorenz of the Los Angeles Police Department said cameras showed the shooter and the victims having some sort of conversation immediately before the shooting.

“We know he came on foot, and as we just found out, he left in a vehicle,” Lorenz said of the shooter.

Video obtained by NewsChopper4 appeared to show the victims’ car covered by a tent in a yard outside a home in a neighborhood south of downtown Los Angeles.

One man died at the scene of the accident. The second was taken to hospital and later died.

The names of the dead were not initially released. Both are believed to be in their twenties.

No arrests were reported.
