Megan Thee Stallion had no choice but to cut short the first of her two Hot Girl Summer tours planned in Atlanta this weekend.

Just an hour before the doors opened for her concert at State Farm Arena on Friday (May 31), the 29-year-old posted a statement on X (formerly Twitter) to inform attendees that she would no longer be taking the stage this that evening. due to several damaged pipelines across the city.

“Unfortunately, we will have to postpone tonight’s show at State Farm Arena due to the massive water main break the city of Atlanta is experiencing,” she wrote.

“I’m extremely disappointed because I had a huge surprise for the Hotties tonight, but we will follow the Mayor’s protocol. Tonight’s show is postponed to THIS SUNDAY, June 2, 2024.”

The venue also released a statement to inform fans that their Friday tickets will be honored on the new date and that the show scheduled for Saturday night will go on as scheduled.

“Due to unfortunate water main breaks in the city today, Megan Thee Stallion’s show scheduled for tonight at State Farm Arena has been postponed to Sunday, June 2. Tickets purchased for tonight’s show will be automatically honored for Sunday,” we can read.

“The Megan Thee Stallion concert for Saturday, June 1st is currently scheduled. State Farm Arena and Live Nation are in communication with the City of Atlanta and Department of Watershed Management offices.
