Emergency crews at the scene of the accident on Highway 41 and Mt. Pleasant Road

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Emergency crews have confirmed that they are at the scene of two crashes on Highway 41 and Mt. Pleasant Road.

According to the operations center, the northbound lane has been reduced to one lane. An accident with injuries had originally been reported.

Officials on the scene said a silver Mustang was struck by a truck as it attempted to turn from Mt. Pleasant Road onto Highway 41. After the first crash, another incident reportedly occurred when one vehicle rear-ended another while attempting to investigate the accident scene.

Only minor injuries were reported at the scene. Officers reported traffic problems on the highway and said they were nearly hit by cars.
