Man taken to hospital after incident in woodland in Chislehurst

A man was taken to hospital following an incident near woodland in Chislehurst.

Just after 3.30pm yesterday (23 May), concerns were raised for the welfare of a man in Orpington Road, near Marlings Park Avenue.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene.

In addition, an operations manager, paramedics in emergency vehicles and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team were on site.

The man was treated on site and then taken to hospital, where he remains.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to an incident at the junction of Marlings Park Avenue and Orpington Road, Chislehurst at 3.33pm on Thursday 23 May.

“We dispatched resources to the scene, including ambulances, an incident commander, paramedics in emergency vehicles and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

“We treated one patient on site before taking him to the hospital.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 3.49pm on Thursday 23 May to concerns for the welfare of a man in Orpington Road, BR7.

“The emergency services were on site. The man was taken to hospital, where he is currently still located.”
