Police: Parents arrested for bringing a gun to Arlington ISD campus

ARLINGTON, Texas – A parent visiting a student at Arlington ISD’s Webb Elementary School was arrested Wednesday afternoon after security guards found a gun on him, police said.

Police said they responded to the campus in the 1300 block of North Cooper Street around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“The man told officers he was a CHL holder and forgot he had it on him. It does not appear that he ever displayed the weapon at school,” Arlington police said in a statement.

The parent, Marcus Glover, 31, was arrested on a complaint of unlawful carrying of a weapon in a restricted place and booked into the Arlington city jail, police said.
