Atlanta Vibe’s Leah Edmond is 2024 PVF MVP

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Atlanta Vibe outside hitter Leah Edmond was crowned the Most Valuable Player of the Professional Volleyball Federation’s 2024 inaugural season, the league announced Thursday evening.

Edmond led the league in scoring to help Atlanta advance to the 2024 regular season championship with a 19-5 team record, giving the Vibe the No. 1 seed in the league’s playoff tournament. She started in all 89 sets of Vibe’s 2024 regular season, pacing the league with 424 points (4.8 per set) and 380 kills (4.3 per set).

This season, Edmond has ten 20-point performances, including a 29-point outing in the Vibe’s historic first-ever victory in Omaha on January 24, where she had a record 27 kills on 70 swings. The Week 2 PVF Player of the Week remained dominant offensively and defensively throughout the season, hitting .250 and finishing with 261 total digs (2.9 per set).

The Vibe franchise player also earned outside hitter of the year honors and a first-team all-league nod, joined by teammates Anna Lazareva and libero of the year Morgan Hentz on the first team list. Vibe setter Marlie Monserez also received second-team all-league honors, giving Atlanta a league-high six postseason awards.
