Rape: Man arrested for raping 9-year-old niece in Parwalia | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A 35-year-old man was arrested under relevant sections of the IPC and Pocso Act for raping a 9-year-old girl in a village in Parwalia locality. The accused is the maternal uncle of the survivor. Police said the survivor is a 4th grade student. She told police that she along with her family went to her maternal aunt’s house on Friday to attend a family function. Other relatives also came to witness the ceremony. At around 10 p.m., the family members were busy and had dinner. At that time, the girl was playing outside when her uncle took her to a neighboring house where no one was present, where he raped the girl and left. The survivor returned home crying and informed her mother about the incident. Later, the incident was reported to Parwalia police and a case was registered. The accused was arrested and produced before the court from where he was sent to prison. The defendant is married and has two children.
