Decatur County, Iowa: 2 dead in crash at Highway 2 and Lineville Road

DECATUR COUNTY, Iowa – Two people are dead and two others are injured in a crash in southern Iowa Friday night, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol.

An SUV was traveling north on Lineville Road at 7:40 p.m. Friday when it failed to yield to a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 2 and crashed into the side of a pickup truck.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The two were identified as 55-year-old Robin Ann Reaves of Urbandale and 46-year-old Lance Eugene Reaves of Lineville.

Two people in the pickup, the driver and a 10-year-old passenger, were injured in the accident. The passenger has since been treated and released, while the driver remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one was wearing a seatbelt in either vehicle at the time of the accident.
