Government suspends classes up to primary level in Kashmir for two days – The INS News

Srinagar, July 28: The government on Sunday evening announced that classes in all public and recognized private schools across Kashmir division will be suspended for the next two days up to primary level due to the ongoing heat wave.

However, the government stated that all teaching and non-teaching staff would continue to work as usual.

“In view of the ongoing heat wave in the valley, classes for students up to primary level in both government and recognized private schools will remain suspended on July 29 and 30, 2024. However, all teaching and non-teaching staff shall continue to perform their duties as usual,” said the order of the District Commissioner of Kashmir, a copy of which is with GNS.
