Police: One person killed and injured in shooting in west Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting early Sunday morning on the city’s west side, according to Columbus police.

Shortly after 1:40 a.m., officers were called to the 300 block of South Glenwood Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people shot.

At 1:50 a.m., paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene. Another person was taken to Grant Medical Center, where police described their condition as stable.

Police have not released any information about a suspect and it is unclear what led to the shooting.
