Suspect charged in shooting of 7-year-old boy during driving aggression incident – ​​NBC Chicago

A Calumet Park man has been charged with attempted murder after he shot and killed a 7-year-old boy during a driving rage incident on the Dan Ryan Expressway, authorities said.

Ulyesee Burns, 54, was arrested on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a firearm, according to Illinois State Police.

The shooting was reported around 2:28 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 94 near 73rd Street. State police said a 7-year-old boy was wounded by gunfire.

The child’s condition was still unclear until Sunday evening.
