Alabama Law Enforcement Agency: Woman killed sitting on I-65 in Cullman County

CULLMAN COUNTY, Alabama (WIAT) – A 20-year-old woman sitting on I-65 was killed in a traffic crash in Cullman County early Saturday morning, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.

Madelyn Guerra of Adelphi, Maryland, was fatally injured when she was struck by a Toyota Highlander about six miles south of Cullman at about 2:30 a.m. Guerra was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person was struck by the Highlander and taken to UAB Hospital for treatment.

Officers from the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are investigating the accident.
