Detectives investigate fatal accident that occurred overnight

“At approximately 2:16 a.m., officers from the 6th Precinct and Montgomery County Fire Department arrived on the scene after a two-vehicle crash was reported. Preliminary investigation revealed that a blue Kia collided with a white Hyundai on Goshen Road near Rock Elm Way. The driver of the Hyundai was extricated from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Kia was taken to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

This is an active and ongoing investigation and CRU detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call (240) 773-6620. An official press release will be distributed once more information is available, including the name of the deceased, and next of kin have been properly notified.”
